Installation

  • If loading hangs or if the installation screen has "Cannot create...." error message take the following 2 steps to reinstall it:
    (1) Go to C:\Program Files\Railo folder, find and click on the railo-uninstall (railo-uninstall.exe) file to uninstall the software.
    (2) Click on the newly downloaded knowledgenotebook_v274.exe file to start the new installation process.

  • During installation if you encounter an error like "Internet Explorer cannot establish connection" wait for about 15 seconds and hit the enter key or reload button to reload the page, you should be able to continue. Cause: firewall and/or antivirus program(s) are messing around.

  • If you encounter any other problem please contact us at support@knowledgenotebook.com.

Troubleshooting

IE Browser

If you get the "IE cannot display the webpage" error, wait for about 20 seconds then press Refresh button.

If login fails,
try: http://127.0.0.1:8600/KNB2/verifyAccessDB.cfm.


If you get "a rapidly vibrating error message" when loading some page, take the following steps to fix your IE configuration problem:

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Click on Tools, then on Internet Options.

3. Click on the Advanced tab.

4. Look for the "Disable script debugging" line and put a check mark in the box.

5. Now look for the "Display a notification about every script error" line and remove the
check mark in the box.

6. Click on the OK button.

Firefox Browser

If you receive error messages such as "Connection Failed" or "Offline Mode" depending on your Firefox configuration, go to File Menu
-> Work Offline (check it off) and try it again.
